The Memo: For Whom The Bell Tolls (ISSUE #009)
What is Open Source Intelligence? What is the Disclosure Initiative? The purpose of this newsletter might best be summarized as facilitating what some are calling the Great Awakening. Simply put, the Great Awakening is a series of accelerating mass-realizations by the citizenry of this country and people around the world. On a general level, this process is the inevitable result of the technological revolution. Massive increases in computing power and networking lead to massive increases of informational exchange between individuals, which in turn leads to dramatic changes in the way people view the world around them. As a result, those who seek to control the population through propaganda are finding the task more difficult by the hour [See Issue #002 and Issue #005 for more on propaganda – OSI:DI.]
On a more specific level, the Awakening is manifesting itself in the United States on many different fronts. Politically, the campaigns of Ron Paul in 2012 and Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump in 2016 illustrated how disgusted the people were with the ruling elite. The typical Democrat/Republican paradigm that was so effective at keeping the people pacified was dealt a massive blow by Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump. The people were no longer believing the Democrat/Republican “us or them” narrative. The people were awake to the fact that the entire establishment was corrupt and revolutionary change was needed. The critical impact that grass-roots activists had on the 2016 election served as validation for many: anonymous individuals spending hours researching and disseminating information on the internet were changing the course of history. The people were awake to the idea that most media was not news, but propaganda. The Great Awakening had become unstoppable.
And here we are today. There has been a lot of excitement these past weeks regarding the classified memo written by Republican representative and House Intelligence Committee member Devin Nunes. The House Intelligence Committee voted to allow any member of congress to read the classified memo. The transcript of the intelligence committee debate regarding the release of the memo can be viewed here. Several congressmen read this memo and began making statements to the media:
“I have read the memo. It is worse than Watergate.” – Representative Steve King
“The facts contained in this memo are jaw-dropping and demand full transparency. There is no higher priority than the release of this information to preserve our democracy.” - Representative Matt Gaetz
“I read the classified memo from House Intel, outlining stunning info on the last administration's FISA and surveillance abuses that should NEVER happen in America. The public should be able to view the same memo I did.” – Representative Mark Meadows
“…if you are interested in who paid for the dossier, if you are interested in Christopher Steele's relationship with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, then you will want the memo to come out.” – Representative Trey Gowdy
Strong language, and judging by the immediate, forceful reactions by the opposition, it is easy to see who has a lot to lose. Representative Adam Schiff and Senator Dianne Feinstein claimed that the trending Twitter hashtag #ReleaseTheMemo was the result of… Russian Bots. Clearly, the American people could not have a genuine interest in addressing the widespread corruption in the federal government, so it MUST be those damned meddling Russians.
The Deep-State aligned media dutifully jumped at an excuse to connect the President and his supporters with Russia. Headlines such as ‘Release the Memo’ campaign aided by Russia-linked Twitter Accounts (Business Insider) and Russian bots might be behind controversial ‘Release the Memo’ campaign (Newsweek) began popping up nearly instantaneously. There was just one problem with this angle: Twitter itself confirmed that interest in the #ReleaseTheMemo hashtag was being generated by humans. American humans at that (Twitter pins #ReleaseTheMemo on Republicans, not Russia – The Daily Beast, January 23, 2018.)
On Monday, Janaury 30, 2018 the House Intelligence Committee voted again, this time to make the memo available to the general public. President Trump has five days from then to prevent the memo’s release, although he has already confirmed he will allow it to become public. The importance of this memo can be gleaned by observing the full-on media assault against its integrity.
[Julian Assange’s take on the circus surrounding the Nunes Memo]
On December 6, 2017 in Issue #005, OSI:DI predicted that many in the FBI would be brought to justice before the Trump/Russia affair is finally put to bed. On December 15, 2017 in Issue #006, OSI:DI stated that “both the House of Representatives and the FBI are due to be exposed in the very near future.” The litany of criticisms leveled at the FBI and the mass corruption coming to light in recent weeks seems to have validated that prediction.
Events are unfolding extremely rapidly at this point. And when the classified information begins surfacing, there is going to be a large amount of upheaval. The potential for violence and civil unrest is very real. The citizens who are already informed will have a much easier time adapting to the flood of disclosure that is bearing down on the nation. Those who think that Trump is Hitler and make a habit of getting information from CNN and MSNBC are going to have a difficult time adjusting to the new reality. Hopefully calmer heads will prevail, and this is where every American can make a difference. Helping friends, neighbors, and family members understand what is occurring will be crucial.
To assist in this regard, the following very brief (paraphrased) analysis of the relevant events leading up to this moment was offered to OSI:DI:
Trump was asked to run by patriots inside the intelligence community
Trump was never expected to win because the Deep State was planning to steal the general election in the same manner that the Democratic primary election was stolen from Bernie Sanders
“White Hats” in the NSA preventing the altering of electronic votes in swing states, thus allowing Trump to win. Everyone (probably including Trump) was shocked
The Deep State activated their “Insurance Policy” (as described by FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok)
The idea was to fabricate evidence of collusion with Russia in an attempt to decertify the election results or impeach Trump upon his taking office
DNC funds, along with money from the Clinton and McCain foundations was used to pay for the creation of the “Russia Dossier” a collection of speculative claims compiled by Washington D.C. based CIA front company Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, a former MI6 operative. Much of the information in the dossier, ironically, was purchased from the Russian Foreign Services Bureau.
McCain had his assistant, a Mr. Kramer, fly to London to retrieve the Dossier and present it to the FBI.
The FBI used this dossier as justification to launch a special investigation into Trump. Jeff Sessions recused himself and Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller (of Uranium-One fame) to head the probe. On Mueller’s staff were the corrupt Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page. Also on his staff was Bruce Ohr, wife of Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr.
The probe, obviously, could find no actual evidence of collusion with Russia and is thus settling for charging Trump with obstruction.
Alliance counterattack came first by sinking Representative John Conyers. Conyers was a Democrat serving on the House Intelligence Committee, and his removal cleared the path for Devin Nunes to compile the memo
Inspector General Horowitz investigation produced 1.2 million pages of information that is damning to the Trump/Russia narrative and the Deep State recognizes they are short on time.
Nunes secured release of memo sending it to Trump for approval, and the Deep State aligned politicians and their media Allies go into overdrive to discredit the memo or distract from it
This memo is simply the tip of the iceberg. The deep-state is in a full panic, which is both relieving and worrisome. Cornered animals fight the hardest, after all. There is much more to come America. Buckle-up and pray for the best.
